Premium Websites That load Fast

01 Studio

Everyone wants a website that looks expensive. Everyone assumes it will cost them speed. It doesn't have to. This page is the proof: every number below is measured live, in your browser, right now.

Lower is better. The comparison is an Awwwards Site of the Day (October 2025) that we measured on a desktop connection: 35 files, 5.7 MB, most of it video and tracking scripts. It uses the same animation tools as this page. Files your browser already had from a previous visit count as zero. Keep scrolling and the numbers keep updating.

everyone accepts the trade: beautiful or fast. we don't.

The sites that win design awards make your phone download 5 MB of video and half a megabyte of code before a single word appears. The sites that score 100 on speed tests look like templates. The gap between the two is where we work.

same audit, same day, same machine

Five studios whose work wins awards, and this page, put through the same industry-standard speed test (Google Lighthouse, on a simulated mid-range phone) on 13 September 2026. Every full report is linked. Run it yourself and you will get the same picture.

How we tested: each home page was loaded once by Google Lighthouse pretending to be a mid-range Android phone on a slow 4G connection, from the same computer within the same hour. Our site was tested through its public address, exactly as a visitor would reach it. Scores move a few points between runs; the gaps above are far larger than that. For the technically minded: Lighthouse 13, mobile preset, Moto G Power emulation, simulated slow 4G, 4× CPU slowdown. Raw data (JSON).

The method

Motion that never makes
the page wait.

what we build

Three engagements. Same stack, same rules, same numbers.

Marketing sites

Launch a site that feels expensive and opens instantly

Design and build, start to finish. Considered typography, choreographed motion, and a content system your team can run without us.

No tracking scripts, no video service, no fonts fetched from Google. Nothing your visitors didn't ask for.

photography, charts, video: a client site needs all of it

So this page carries them too. Every photo below started as a multi-megabyte original and reaches your phone at the size it is actually shown, in the newest format your browser can read, only when you scroll near it. The numbers under each one are real.

How it stays fast

the rules are simple. following all of them is rare.

None of this is secret. It is discipline: every animation, image and piece of code on the site passes the same five checks before it ships.

Rescue my site
  1. 01

    Words first, code second

The page arrives as finished text and layout. Nothing waits for a program to run before you can read.

  2. 02

Only move what the graphics chip can move

Fades and slides only. Nothing that forces the page to re-measure itself mid-animation.

  3. 03

    One clock for every animation

All motion shares a single timer, so animations never fight each other for the same frame.

  4. 04

Pictures and video earn their place

A still image first, video sized to the screen it plays on, and only while it is actually in view.

  5. 05

    Motion has an off switch

If a visitor's device asks for less motion, everything appears instantly and nothing is hidden.

"the smoothness is real; the speed is not."

From our teardown of an award-winning site. Both should be real.
